QUITTER

Brief
Quitter is a short documentary created in collaboration with three other filmmakers for the Art of Documentary's “One Day Doc” competition. As part of the competition, we had just 24 hours to film the project. We relied on thorough pre-production planning, including a character pre-interview to uncover compelling story ideas, a well-organized shot list, interview questions, and story structure.

Many athlete documentaries focus on milestones and achievement, so our approach was to tell a runner’s story from a different perspective — one centred on their personal journey and self-fulfillment.

The film earned us the ‘Best Collab’ award from over 100 submissions, recognizing how our individual strengths combined to elevate the final film.
