Hey there! I’m Richard, a filmmaker and photographer based in Vancouver, Canada.
Beyond just capturing beautiful visuals, I aim to tell stories that resonate. I approach storytelling with empathy, curiosity, and sensitivity.
In the past two years, I’ve filmed 150+ interviews, deepening my love for human-centred stories. My goal is always to craft soulful, timeless stories with impact.
After completing my Bachelor of Commerce at UBC in 2015, I spent several years in marketing, which gives me a unique perspective. This experience helps me create narratives that both resonate emotionally and align with broader goals.
I’m also the co-founder and managing partner of Twin Horizons, a production company specializing in travel storytelling. As a Sony FX6 owner-operator, I bring high production value to every project, whether I’m working solo or with a team.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m traveling, searching for great cafés, or curating playlists. I also play hockey and tennis and love unwinding with a movie and popcorn.
I’d love to collaborate and bring your vision to life. Reach out at hello@richardlam.com to get started.
