Visual Journal: Bali

It’s been a long time since my last video! Nearly three months have passed since I uploaded my Hong Kong edit, but I’m so excited to finally share the video from my Bali trip.

Part of the reason why the video took so long was that I’ve been incredibly busy working this summer. Working full-time and freelancing on weekends left me with very few days off to create for myself.

The other part being that Bali felt so special to me, I wanted to do the place justice in the video. It was hard because I was there for a job, and therefore, I couldn’t spend as much time intentionally capturing and creating as I would’ve liked. Although I love the video, I think it falls a little short. I’m trying to remind myself to focus on progression, not perfection.

I originally had another song in mind but it didn’t quite fit, so I decided to change to the song “Sigh” by Shallou. I utilized parts of the original song for the clips I used (e.g. the intro sequence). I incorporated quite a bit of the sound effects from the song into the edit. If you listen to the original track, you’ll understand!
