Hello! I’m Richard, a filmmaker & photographer based in Vancouver.
I believe in more than just capturing beautiful visuals. My mission is to tell stories that resonate deeply with people. I approach each project with empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to creating authentic, lasting work.
Having filmed over 150 interviews in the last two years, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for human-centred storytelling. Every project represents an opportunity to craft something soulful, timeless, and meaningful.
My marketing background and UBC business degree complement my creative skills. This unique combination allows me to bring together the art of storytelling, the science of visual production, and the strategy of marketing to create content that both moves audiences and drives business outcomes.
From concept to completion, I’m here to guide you through the process, ensuring your story is told with care, clarity, and impact.
As a Sony FX6 owner-operator, I bring professional production value to every project, whether working solo or collaborating with a team.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me traveling, hunting for great cafés, or curating the perfect playlist. I also play hockey and tennis and love kicking back with a movie and some popcorn.
I’d love to collaborate and bring your vision to life! Reach out at hello@richardlam.com to get started.
